A sluggish first-half was a portent of doom for the Trimble County Lady Raiders in last week’s quarterfinal round of the 29th District Tournament played at Bedford. Oldham County’s Lady Colonels took advantage of Trimble’s inability to score in the opening half by jumping out to a 23-5 advantage at the first quarter stop and racing to a 25-point halftime lead (39-14) en route to a 58-37 win to eliminate the Lady Raiders from post-season play.
