An explosive middle two quarters of Friday’s annual rivalry between neighboring rivals Trimble and Carroll counties resulted in Trimble’s first victory of the 2019-20 basketball season. The 13-point, 50-37 outcome can be measured at the free throw line during the second and third quarters. That’s how many charity tosses found the mark for the Lady Raiders during that time frame. Coupled with 22 points from field goal range during those 16 minutes of play, Trimble outscored their hosts 35-19 to put the game seemingly out of reach for the Lady Panthers.
