The Trimble County Lady Raiders suffered defeat at the hands of visiting Owen County last week by a 54-23 score. It was the fifth loss of the 2017-18 campaign for the youthful team in the early weeks of a rebuilding year. The youthful team sports only one senior on its nine-member varsity.
Trimble fared poorly in field goal shooting, canning only 9 of 36 attempts for 25 percent. Trimble managed only one trey in eight attempts from beyond the three-point arc. The Lady Raiders hit 36 percent from the free throw line, converting four of 11 charity tosses.
